Hello and welcome to my locing journey. This is my second attempt at locing my hair. My first attempt was in April 2004 using the traditional twisting method and I lasted for about 2 weeks, before I washed it out. (It was sooo ugly!)

I would get relaxers for years until 1999, when I decided to get my hair pressed. (I had moved to Los Angeles and realized that alot of the women there got their hair pressed, instead of relaxed.) While pressing was much more healthier than relaxers, I was still tired of going to the salon on Saturday for a hairdo that would be flat by Tuesday.

However, I continued to get my hair pressed and sometimes, for a few months, I would wear braids or cornrows. Finally in March 2006, after seeing so many beautiful locs worn by so many of my people (including two of my good friends), I decided to try and loc again. This time I would try the 2-strand twist method instead of the traditional loc method (single twist).
