- Hi My name Is Shameka and I am a Junior in College. Currently Im transitionig, this is my sixth month. My plan is to transition for 1yr and then do the....BIG CHOP. Currently I have braids n my hair as a protective style, By the way Im kinda new to this Fotki web site so bare with me. I dont have any pics up bc like i said my hair is n braids but I'll b sure to post pics when I take out my braids. For anyone thats transitioning like myself or is already natural feel free to leave me any pointers on how to take care of my hair while n braids and/or any products/oils that i can use.
