BonitaApplebum updates!!!
I am a West London girl that has finally decided to stop being a slave to the relaxer. I haven't relaxed my hair since June 2007 so I have just begun my natural journey. I know it will be a long hard road but hopefully with the support of all the other naturals out there I will stay focused and reach my goal of being 100% natural. As a child I had long thick hair, when my mother finally allowed me to get a relaxer at the ages of16, I had hair almost down to my waist, and I was so happy. This didn't last long however, when I went to a salon and the stylist told me I needed a trim, my hair ended up to my shoulders and I was afraid of scissors ever since. I grew back my natural hair once before, although this was not on purpose. It was a great curly 'fro, but not knowing much about products, I texturized my beautiful hair and it turned into a ball of frizz! I went right back to relaxing.
For my transition stage, I will be wearing weaves and posting my progress every month. Lets go...!


UPDATES....I did it! Finally did the BC ladies, on the 9th April 2008 I just felt ready to chop those relaxed ends and I felt so liberated. It was the most wonderful feeling to be free. Will post up new pix ASAP!
