My hair journey inspired me to graduate from beauty school last December. My husband and I had our second child a daughter in October. I am patiently waiting to see what blessings await me in the New Year.

Wow, I havent had time to update any pics. my hair has grown out a lot
I am wearing it natural all the time now. I want to do a length check in Sept. for my B-Day but I am thinking about putting myself on a no heat challenge for a year. I have done 2 strand twists on my natural hair for the first time. It took forever having to nurse a baby and run a house at the same time. But turned out really cute.

After everything I had been through last year I was successful in remaining positive and applied the "secret" to my life and became pregnant after three miscarriages, found a job and lost some weight (I weigh less now then before I got pregnant). I was also able to maintain healthy hair. I am happy to say that I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Malach on 2/11. I was laid off of my job again?!:-) in January but because of what I had been through I was better prepared to handle it.. I have been busy with motherhood but I will be posting updates soon.

After being on Fotki for almost two years now and I have attained my goal of growing the WN out! I did not like the chemical loved the moisture! In the past 14 months I have suffered three miscarriages, had my best friend who is my grandmother diagnosed with dementia-Alzheimer's and gotten laid off of my job of eight years. I have tried to continue to remain positive despite it all and know that no matter what we want believe that God has a plan for me even though I don't understand his design today. I am on a new path to self discovery which is leading me to want to become a healthier more vibrant and energetic person. I would like to loose 90lbs. and I will be beginning my journey to a healthy body and more spiritual awareness and hopefully becoming a mother soon. Please honor and value your children people they are a gift not an entitlement, not everyone can have them in their lives. ********************************************************************************* I am a 29 year old woman on a quest for a healthier body and beautiful LONG hair. I got a Wave Nouvou about a year ago, I didn't know a lot about it and I thought that it would be easier to care for than my natural hair. My hair grew long when it was permed but I thought that I could achieve more length with a WN. I didn't have a perm for 5 years before I got it. In the past year I have discovered that I don't like it as much as I do my natural hair. My natural hair was thick and strong Its a bummer since it took so long to grow my natural hair out in the first place and now I think I'm going to start over again. But I am looking forward to my natural hair I'm going to apply some of the techniques found on grow afro hair long. Her website they make so much sense I wish I would have found them before I put the WN in, I do regret it . I will wear a sew in weave with my natural hair braided underneath and use her conditioning and shampooing techniques. I figure that if I can retain a minimum of 6 inches of growth per year I will have achieved my goal of waist length hair in 4-5 years.
