I finally did it!!!...THE BIG CHOP!!... No more relaxers!! YAY! I am so excited to be on this journey of AU NATURAL HAIR!! I am learning to love my hair in its natural state. My current regimen is now a lot simplier :) but I am quickly becoming a product junkie!!


Update: 4/14/08

Its been 5 1/2 months since I BC'd and I have been just amazing at my hair's natural beauty. Im loving the various textures.... its full of kinks and curls. Right now I'm learnng to how to do various styles. I'm going to start by perfect the twists and twist-outs. Anyother styles will be done by someone more talented (until I learn them for myself!!).

I was afraid people would judge be negatively by being "natural" but surprisingly I have not had ANY discouraging comments. I get even more attention now (not to be vain). Guys are always trying totouch and feel my hair... so ladies don't think men don't like natural hair. You just need to have the CONFIDENCE that goes with it!! My man loves my hair silky & straight or kinky & curly...its not all about the hair though.

I will be switching 85-90% of my hair proucts to Qhemet Biologics (found at www.qhemetbiologics.com). I have heard soooo many rave & seen the evidence of this product line. I am convinced my hair will sing me "Thanks you"!! I must thank the ladies of Nappturality (www.nappturality.com) for bringing this great product to me!! I can't wait til I get my 1st shipment!!

My goal for my Nappy-Anniversary (Oct. 29) is to have:

-front hair (bangs) to my nose
-side hair 3" below my ear
-center hair to my base hairline
-back hair to base neckline

I am going to wear protective styles & satin cap/scarves @ nite, moisturize, moisturize, & moistuirze DAILY (sealed w/ oils), also deep condition as needed.


Update: 01-30-09

So much has happened but I met 3 of my hair goals by my Nappy-versary!! 3 out of 4... not bad at all!! I had to do some major trimming due to color damage but I still had MAJOR hair progress! Thank you for stopping by and leaving wonderful comments. I think it's so great that we are all here motivitating each other. I hope I can inspire others like you all have inspired me.
