Hey Everyone!
Im a 4/a/b Relaxed
I've always had thick hair. I've often wondered why my hair would never grow beyond Collar Bone and Shoulder Length. I was not properly taking care of my hair. I ran across some Fotki albums by mistake and found out about LHCF and BHM. Long story short, I think I've learned enough information to grow my hair beyond CBL and SL. One important tip that I've learned is to Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize. Before joining LHCF, I was using WAYYYY too much heat, I NEVER moisturized my hair, NEVER Deep-Conditioned, I would wash my hair sometimes without even putting any conditioner in it at all. (I'm cringing right now just thinking about all of the abuse I put my hair through:(
Now that I've learned so much about my hair, I want to see how long I can grow it.
My Regimen as of 4/09 : I wash my hair twice a week.(Kenra) I ALWAYS deep-condition after I wash(NTM,Dr. Miracles,Cholesterol,). I ALWAYS use a Leave-in(NTM) If blowdrying, I ALWAYS use a heat-protectant. I moisturize every day. I use to moisturize two to three times a week. I think that's why my hair was at a standstill. I don't think I was giving my hair ENOUGH Moisture. My goal for this year is Full APL before the year is up. I'm style-challenged so I do a lot of bunning. I'm not scared of direct-heat....I don't get carried away with it either.
I stretch my relaxers every 12weeks. (I do not self-relax)
Just completed a Six-Month Stretch(Sep08-Mar09) Yippee!
