- It's mind boggling that a person should need to go through a process to be at peace with their natural hair texture--but such has been my personal experience. I escaped chemicals until age 18 but relied heavily on heat straightening to maintain a look I believed was my only option. I want to teach my 4 daughters and son something different. Today I am truly blessed to embrace my nappy--ness. My eyes have really changed. These days all the fuzz, cotton and kink is looking mighty fine.
Whether loose haired or locked...it's all nappy, and I'm glad about it.
***Big Chopped July 2007 (but I've been around the block 3 times! My first big chop was in 1994) I'm all natural and growing!***
