I started my transition from a perm in March of 2001 by Septemeber of 2001 I had BC'd. This was a new place for me with my hair as I had never really worn the short cuts. Some of my family thought I had lost my mind (LOL). For the last 4yrs. of FREEDOM I have worn various natural styles and some straight ones and YES weaves and wigs too!!! All that to say that a sister has finally started on a journey of new hair love and most likely exasperation and anxiety (-:!!
On October 7, 2005 my friend and natural hair stylist Lisa braided hair into 486 micro-sized braids that I will allow to loc. It is my sincere hope that my mature locs will be very small. I guess we shall see, huh folks?
