 | Born in a smaller village in the Czech Republic. Always admired still images. My first camera I bought when I was 17 from my savings and it was a small compact. I have realized that taking photos is something I really like. My next camera was Zorki 4. I did not know almost anything about the cameras at that time and this amusing tool was my learning horse. Soon I started to discover beauty of Black and White photography. Since then I spent many evenings in the bathroom developing my own photos. That was the beginning.
During the years I changed several cameras, though my first proper SLR was German Praktika MTL3, which eventually did not survived demanding conditions of the Sahara desert. On my return I upgraded to Praktika MTL5, which was the top of the old style m42 screw type production from the company. That was the beginning. Most of my photographs nowadays are digital, yet my passion for film format and B&W is ever lasting. My favorite film cameras I use and owe are: Leica R3, Olympus RD35, Ricoh R10, Rolleicord Compur (medium format). My latest toy is Ricoh GX100 - a beautiful piece of engineering.
