- A young sistah, on the grid in life, just trying to make things happen for herself. Career, family & friends, grad school, church (not necessarily in that order) is all that I'm focused on...well except for that obsession with my hair.
My hair is now 100% natural. My last relaxer was October 2005. But my decision to go natural wasn't until December 2005. So I wore a full weave for 3 months. When I took it out, in March 2006, my hair was so thin! I have been trying to bring my thickness back. I continued to "transition" until February 2007, when I did the "Big Chop." The chop left me with jaw length hair. I wore my own hair after the cut. But I also wore weaves, braids, ponytails and wigs until July 2008. That's when I finally decided to wear my own hair.
But still, this natural hair journey all new to me. I have no idea what I'm doing and quite frankly, I was hoping other people on Fotki would give me ideas. I'm going to chronicle my good and bad pictures until I find my perfect routine.
