~Wonderland~: Updates 09/19/09

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by my page. I love visitors. The primary purpose of my fotki is to relate my journey from relaxed to natural hair. My last relaxer was on April 4th, 2008 and I did the "Big Chop" on August 15th, 2008, so I transitioned for over 4 months.

Feel free to browse all of my pictures from my relaxed and transitioning days and my new Big Chop album (yaay!). Also be sure to check out my links to the natural hair care sites that I've found helpful. Finally, I also have a journal that provides more insight into my emotional transformation throughout this experience. I'll be sure to post a journal entry on natural hair in the workplace once I start my corporate job in November. I know there's a lot of anxiety about how natural hair is received in the workplace, so I'll be sure to explain my experiences in depth.

09/19/09: Over one year natural already! Wow! This year has really flown by for me and my hair. Maybe that's what happens when I'm not constantly obsessing about how it's not growing... I'm still very very happy with my decision, and I am so happy to be a natural!
