I set up a fotki account to document my hair's progress.
The hair albums are private, and the only way to view them is via LHCF, or to message me.
Right now my hair is grazing APL (arm pit length) in the back.
It is a reddish bronze color, thanks to Clairol Luminize, a gentle peroxide hair lightener, and henna.
Here's my basic hair regimen:
- I relax my hair every 8 weeks using Hawaiian Silky Lye, Regular Strength (but right now I'm 10 weeks post, and stretching for at least another 2 weeks).
- I wash my hair just once per week (this increases to twice per week once i hit 6 weeks post relaxer), using a shampoo bar, a salon shampoo, or a cleansing conditioner. I then condition using a salon conditioner.
- I deep condition 1x per week, after my weekly wash.
- I stop blow drying my hair once I hit 3 weeks post, and do not flat iron my hair more than once per relaxer cycle.
- I clarify my hair once per month using either baking soda, a clarifying shampoo with ammonium lauryl sulfates, or bentonite clay
