- This is my journey to healthy MBL hair. I am a client of Reniece and I'm currently participating in her One Year Healthy Hair Make-Over challenge. As of 2/21/08 I have a a full sew-in weave. I will continue to hide my hair with either a sew-in or half wig until January 2009. I hope to be APL by then.

** Update (01/09) - Well the first year has ended and I didn't reach my goal of APL. I am collarbone in the back and shoulder length on the side.. I am extremely excited and happy with the progress I have made so far. Here is the beginning of year two. I will continue to follow the same regimen from the previous year. My goals for this year are APL by June and top of BSL by December. Weaves will continue to be my main protective style, but I will incorporate some others. ~HHG

My K.I.S.S Regimen
• Wash every 2 weeks (w/ Weave), 1x a week otherwise
• Deep Condition w/ every wash
• Moisturize every other day
• MT on length of hair (wash days only)
• OCT daily (scalp only)
• Clarify once every 4-6 weeks
• Protein treatment every 6 weeks
• Protective Styles (Sew-In Weaves , Half-Wigs, Buns)
• Low Manipulation (Rollersets, Braid-Outs, Bantu Knots)
