I began this account because of one thing: HAIR!!! I think natural, black hair might just be one of my favorite things in the world, to the point where I am obsessed. I can sit and watch youtube for hours while other natural or transitioning divas talk about their hair and how they style it and the products they like and so on and so forth. I love to get new style ideas and new products to try on my own hair. Then I discovered (dun-dun-dun-DUN!) - fotki! I was absolutely amazed at how many gorgeous and encouraging natural ladies are out here trying to share their own hair goals, hair accomplishments, set back, victories, styles, regimens and so much more! So I am here to share my journey as well because now that I've seen what my hair can do, I cannot believe I ever put a relaxer in my hair! I am absolutely in love with my hair and it's a love affair that I will continue as I learn more and more about this beatifully fantabulous head of hair that God gave me : )
Also I just wanted to talk to other people that have similar or disimilar interest as myself. I love a good debate and I try to learn at least 2 new things every day because once you stop learning, you stop living. So ask me questions and hopefully you'll answer mine as well.
In a nutshell I would like to tell you who I am: I am a 22 year old, African American, enthusiastic, silly, energetic, fun, loving woman who loves the Lord with all her heart! I hope that I am able to get connected with other real Christians on fotki and other forums as well because it's our responsiblity to share the truth with others. My hobbies/things I couldn't live without are singing, dancing, reading novels, swimming, going to the beach, crocheting and having fun : P
So holla at ya girl! LOL. I'll be stalking ... I mean checking out the millions of profiles available for me to browse through and I hope to learn a lot from you all.
