I've always believed that afro textured hair can grow long. I was so excited to be divinely guided to websites that guided in healthy growth of afro textured hair and to all of your fotki photos. It's a beautiful thing! I've always believed in using braids to grow our afro hair however I wasn't deep conditioning often enough or oiling my ends which caused my hair to always break and caused me to get trims often. For YEARS, I've gone to the hair dresser and everytime I ask them to trim(1-2 inches) they cut(4-5 inches). So to me, I thought my hair could only grow to a certain length before breaking which was a little past my shoulders.

I have dry 4a/b relaxed hair. My hair "eats" up grease and oil. I had my hair natural from 10 years old to 16yrs old. Then I relaxed again to keep straight hairstyles from puffing up.

Now I'm letting it do it's thing. My hair thickens before it grows in length. So I'm focusing on getting my hair in shape. Growing it strong and healthy. My ultimate goal is to have waist length hair!!**!!
