::Who is Bsquared86?::
I am a recent college graduate, currently back home with hopes of breaking into the writing world. I love digital photography and manipulation, poetry, reading, fashion, hair, and makeup.

I stumbled upon fotki hair albums during the summer of 2006 and I've always wanted my own. And then I joined BHM (forum.blackhairmedia.com) in December 2006 and I knew it would only be a matter of time before I got a fotki. I am also a member of specktra.net (makeup) and nappturality.com (black hair).

::Hair-story::
My mom started pressing my hair when I was 6 years old. When I was in the 4th grade (around 9 yrs. old) she put a Just For Me Relaxer in my hair that didn't take, so she didn't do it again and continued to press my hair. When I turned 14, I started going to a hair salon regularly for my press'n'curls instead of getting them at home by my mother. Basically, I continuously got my hair pressed from age 6 (1992) until March 30, 2008, when I cut off my trained, pressed ends and decided to wear my natural curl.

The important thing for me, in terms of this BC, is that I didn’t do it because I hated my press or because it was breaking or severely damaged- I BC’d because I love the versatility of nappy hair and I am excited to experience my natural curl in all of its glory. Like anything else I do to my outward appearance (from makeup to clothing to hair), I like to have fun and experiment. I can’t wait to see what happens next with me and my hair!

On 8/11/08, I started what I hope to be my final set of fingercoils. I am now officially starting my LOC JOURNEY!! *applause applause* I plan on doing everything myself on this journey (other than perhaps coloring my hair down the road but, hey, we'll see). I am soooooo excited!
