I've been natural for about 5 years and have loved every step of the journey. I remember coming to this site and seeing all of the beautiful natural ladies and going through your albums to help me manage my daughter's natural hair. In doing so, I found that I wanted to go natural as well! I think that my being natural has encouraged my daughter to embrace her hair and learn to love it!

I was surprised to find that it was more than just a hairstyle change. I became more in tuned to myself. I found that my self confidence soared! I learned to appreciate the hair that God blessed me with, I learned that my hair is definitely a large part of who I am (sorry india.arie) and how I view myself.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share your stories, you are definitely an inspiration!
