I am begining a new healthy hair journey to get my hair to mid-back length (maybe beyond).

I use a mild relaxer every 12 weeks or so and in the process of altering my regimen. I also color my hair usually every 4 months or so. Prior to begining my HHJ, I would wash, deep condition, rollerset, and flat iron my hair once a week. In between I would touch my hair with a flat iron or curling iron. I have been able to grow my hair to BSL this way, but my ends always end up so thin from heat styling too often, that I would have to cut to armpit length. I would grow it back out and then the cycle would repeat again.

I've since decided to only flat my hair in entirety once a month or less. I'm also trying to be more active, and have decided to wear wash n' go's and wigs during the week so that I can work out and rinse my hair when I am through.

I still rollerset sometimes on the weekend.

But I would say currently, I shampoo, condition, and detangle 2x a week. In between, I add cholesterol, leave-in conditioner, or oils onto my hair. Too much product for me just make my hair look dull as it's colored, relaxed, fine, porous, and curly.

Still looking for a new moisturizing conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and gentle clarifying shampoo.
