Haha! That's that crazy voice in my head trying to hold me back oh! But no! I can't be held down!!! I've been around fotki for a long, long, long while...way before Hillary and Obama took over your TV screens and then your college campuses, the nerve! hehe! I found fotki when I was relaxed and all I was looking for was a good moisturizing routine to combat dry scalp. I hadn't intended on STAYING natural. You natural ladies definitely had a way with my visuals, lol! I was hooked and moving to cold, expensive England (read: Broke med student), from America a.k.a land of milk and honey, in August 2007 was kind of the deal sealer. I can't really remember when my last perm was, because what I am really trying to say is, staying natural wasn't a conscious decision, but I'll put it to June 2007 (ok now I know it was July 2007). I didn't get a perm thru' the fall semester and didn't big chop in the UK either. I nurtured (*ahem* attempted to) my new growth and when I went home to Nigeria for Christmas break, I big chopped! January 3rd to be precise. I have pics y'all, be patient!

So, why am I here? I am tired of being victim to that voice in my head *rolls eyes*. I am tired of lurking around fotki. It's my birth month next month (March) and Lent as well, so beginning March, I will document my hair journey and lifestyle overhaul. Chikena! (oh! that's kind of like saying "that's all folk" in Hausa (a Nigerian Language), yes a lot of my sentences will be infused with Nigerian slangs/languages, can't help it, just like my Canadian classmates can't help saying eh! every other sentence.lol! I think it's my true self trying to come through, just like it did with me deciding to stay NATURAL!)
