- Hello fotki family! My name is Chandra, and I love having natural healthy hair. My last relaxer was 12/2008. I transitioned for 9 months, and will celebrate 2 years of being all natural 9/27/11. I thank Jesus for helping me reach my goal!,( because I asked for His help often!) If you are transitioning, newly natural, or a veteran get a conviction that you can stand on throughout your healthy hair journey. This is something that will sustain you and keep you on the right track regardless of obstacles you may face. When you have a strong conviction no one can take that away. Remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Lord and creator! (Ps 139: 14)

12.9.11 Will be wearing protective styles all winter..probably twists and 1/2 wigs. (because they are easy and less stress on the hair)

I'm in my 22nd Month! (Posting pics soon) I'm trying different updo protective styles. Took My mini twists down (after 3 wks,) a few days ago, and OMG..my hair was so tangeled and knotted? I will not be be revisiting those any time soon, so the mini twists challenge is over! (I will continue to protect with other updo's)

I've placed my self on a twist up challenge, I"ve decided to just use my own hair for the twists. And I Love them. I will be twisted up for 3 weeks, take 1 or 2 weeks off to do cassia or Rhassoul Clay treatments, deep moisturizing conditionings, and then twists up for another 3 weeks.

Reached Month 20! I am getting serious about staying on top of my protective styling and just overall health of my hair and body. I Started a new liquid vitamin for Hair, skin and nails, by Nzuri, So far I'm loving it! Also thinking about putting in two strand twists with ext, (again) I've been talking about them for atleast a yr and will finally try them.

I received my licensce in Ancestral Braiding and Natural hair care!! It only took 35 hours at the Institue of Ancestral Braiding and Texas Barber College.. I learned so much culture and basic techniques.. So I am now offically open for business!! If you know of any ladies in Dallas, and the Collin County area that need a Healthy Hair Trainer/Braider.. have them look me up!!
As for my hair it's doing wonderful so soft and moisturized Always! I'm loving it. I am about to go into twists again to protect it for about a month.
