Welcome to my photo website!

I have always loved photography, as long as I can remember. Finally after waiting 20 yrs, and after the events of 9/11 (I live 20 min outside of NYC), I decided it was time to go to college and persue my dream of getting my degree in photography. I graduated in May 2007 from Montclair State University, receiving a BA in Photography and Anthropology. I was hired as the staff photographer of the Ridgewood News in November 2007.
I also enjoy photographing children and have been doing so for many years. Four years ago I officially began my portrait business. Here on Fotki are just a few samples of the many children whose portraits I have had the privilge of photographing. I take my time with children, usually following them around on my knees, capturing their personalities. I truly love it and I think it shows!
I have also received my accrediation from SKPA - Special Kids Photography of America (www.specialkidsphotography.com) which trains photographers to work with all kinds of special needs children. I have already had some experience photographing special needs children - my son Joey has high-functioning Autism. I find these special kids to be challenging and rewarding all at once!
I am proud to be a photographer for the NJ Heart Gallery. This is an organization of volunteer photographers who photograph children in foster care that are elgible for adoption. The portraits are part of a traveling exhibit where people can see the inner beauty of these children and adopt them. For more information, please visit the website at www.heartgallerynj.com
