So now that the evening is here and I have some more time on my hands, I'll tell you a little bit about myself.

Hmmm, I dig all music, but Type O Negative is my favorite band (October Rust...best...album...ever). And on a complete 180 from them, I love Dexter Gordon. That guy could set a mood. Currently, I'm really digging Devotchka.

I work for the man 8 to 4 in Syracuse,NY; it's cool. I could always use a little more loot, but I definitely don't complain about my job. I live just south of Syracuse and love the area.

I'm a bit shy myself. I'm usually better around small groups of people rather than large gatherings. And by large gatherings, I mean, getting lost in the crowd kind of gatherings, heh. Unless it's a concert! Then I could get lost for days. And it's embarrassing when I'm on the side of a milk carton.

I never really plan much of anything. I just kind of...do it. I love to explore. Long drives, trails I've never hiked, parks I've never seen, communities where I've never said "Hi!" to anyone before...all these things are loves of mine. I like to expand, to suck in new experiences the way I suck down a hot cup of black tea (lemon, one sugar, no milk) on a Fall morning. To this day, I still am exploring Harriman State Park, the Catskills and the Adirondacks. In fact, I'll be up in the Adirondacks on August 25th and who knows where I'll wind up. Again, the whole milk carton thing...

I like to write. I often start novels I never finish. But hey, at least that way I have a goal: Just finish one of the damn things in your life, Labby!. I used to draw, but never nurtured that talent and alas, it's gone by the wayside. I still try every now and then.

I enjoy a good pint of beer with friends and the sound of the rain as I fall asleep at night. I like baseball, coffee daily, any Spanish food as long as it's got some spice, chess, Monopoly and Connect Four. Please, no Scrabble - I can't go much higher than cat, hat, mat, bat and the like when put on the spot. Damn you, triple word score.

I love dogs (I miss my cockerspaniel "Sammie" like crazy), but I currently have a cat whom I love and adore and cherish. Yeah, I'm strange. I convinced my equally wonderful (ok, a little more wonderful) girlfriend that we should get one and she conceded.

I read a lot - as in, a LOT. I don't watch a lot of TV, but can get lost in print for hours. The last book I read was The Long Goodbye (fave book ever) by Raymond Chandler. I'm currently reading The Stand by Stephen King.

...and I was at the midnight release party at Barnes & Noble for the last Harry Potter book. Don't judge.

...and I wore the Harry Potter glasses. Okay, now judge.

Ok, that's all true except the glasses part, heh. I just have a pair of readers and I can never find them.

I'm half Irish and my family is from county Mayo. The remainder of me is Polish, German...possibly some Scottish and Russian.

Hmmm...I suck at math. Always have, always will. If the numbers look round and pretty, then I have something to work with. Anything with a decimal point and I'll pull out a coloring book to pass the time.

So that's it. Looking forward to sharing my photos and experiences with you guys and who knows, maybe we'll hang out sometime.
