"Hi Everyone!

Thanks for viewing my album! I am excited about finally putting one together so that I can keep up with my progress. I am also a NP member(tajo18)for those who received comments from me in your albums.I decided to go natural in the summer of 2005, and it was one of the best decisions that I have made. My last relaxer was June 15, 2005. There were several things that influenced me to go natural, but overall I needed a change in my life as well as my hair. I got inspired to go natural partly from viewing some of your albums, so thanks to all of you. Maybe someone browsing will decide to transition to natural too.
I decided to start to transition in the summer of 2005. My last relaxer was June 15, 2005 to be exact. At first I thought that I wanted haircut, but after much thinking and researching, I decided that I wanted to transition.

Second Transition:

Unfortunately, I decided to texlax imy hair in March of 2009. I regret that decision now. So, I am transitioning for the second and last time. My last texlax was August 31st, 2009. I feel that my transition from texlaxed to natural has been a bit harder than my first transition from totally straight relaxed hair to natural in 2005. I didn't know how to style my transitioning hair because I hadn't transitioned in over 4 years. Its okay though, because I never plan to have to transition again. In other ways it's easier, because I know what my natural hair likes,( cowashing, sulfate-free shampoo, and cone-free conditioners).I will continue to transition for a few more months( hopefully making it to 18 months, but we will see.)

My routine: I agree w/ a lot of other nappturals, and just listen to what my hair wants. It tells me when I need to trim, deep condition, wash, and restyle.

1) I wash every 1 to 1.5 weeks with a shampoo bar. Occasionally using Nature's Gate Tea Tree Shampoo. My hair hates sulfates, and despises cones.

2) Co-washing is my best friend. My hair loves the boost of moisture, and getting rinsed at least several times weekly. I use Giovanni Deep Moisture Conditioner, Nature's Gate, or Elucence

3) I TRY to deep condition at least twice month.
Usually I just add castor oil to my conditioner of choice

4) My all time favorite style are my braidouts, which i do on dry stretched hair. I will use a moisturizing buttery styling cream( usually Blended Beauty products.)

5) I trim my hair when my ends feel bad, and have been "dusting" about once a month to get rid of these last few ends of texlaxed hair.

6) I have incorporated henna into my regimine and believe it is one of the best hair decisions I have ever made. I have also been experimenting with some growth aides.
