Hey people,

I am writing this, the night after my BC. I feel like crying, but haven't because I don't know exactly why I feel that way. I felt VERY insecure after leaving the shop. I thought it would liberating, but I feel dependent upon other people's opinion. I am excited that it's done and am still a little nervous.

I got compliments from people in the shop, but my cousin's comments on the ride home were very helpful. The stylist (Simone) was great the whole time, she made the transition very relaxing and for that I am thankful.

Okay...anyway...check out ya girl!

Six Months AFTER the BC:

I LOVE my hair! I honestly don't know why I was so conflicted after the BC, but I was. I have grown with my hair and that is a beautiful thing. I wasn't sure if I would ever perm my hair again, but I am confident in saying that I am NOT going back to the perm. I am not a natural hair radical (yet), but I do find myself encouraging other women to let the perm go. After mastering the right moisture, I decided to color my hair and I am definitely enjoying it even more. I can't wait to write again in the coming months.
