I'm tracking my progress to grow my hair long. I've always been shoulder length all my life. It seems only in the past two years my hair has crept a little past shoulder. I get very lazy when taking care of my hair but my goal is waist length so if I'm going to achieve it I'd better not be so lazy.

My regime now is really simple, it's pretty much wash and go. I am a reformed PJ. I relax every 12 weeks. Wash every week sometimes I try to get two days a week in. I'm not too particular on my shampoo but I need a moisturizing one because my hair tends to be dry. A good conditioner is a lot more important to me.

I no longer use heat in my hair, as of two years ago. I think I used a blow dryer twice all of 07. After I wash my hair I sit with a towel for a while, then I rub coconut oil on my hair or any other moisturizer I might have but mainly coconut oil. I usually braid it in two or four braids and roll it with flexi rods or just use flexi rods. It's dry the next day.

I never wear my hair down I don't have it cut in any kind of style so I never think it looks right down unless I wear it curly but I never wear it down straight. My styles are mostly curly anyway.

Tentative Regime

I just came up with this yesterday and I'm going to try it out to see what happens. I'll start this on February 1st when I do my corrective lye relaxer (was using no lye for a while)

Relax every 12 weeks (already do this)

**Things to do every month

Henna
Nexxus Keraphix Reconstructor
Dust for splits
Protein treatment (Aphogee or CPR)

**Things to do once a week

Deep condition
Hot oil treatment (coconut oil etc) day before or day of wash. I like to DC before I wash, saves time and don't have to rinse hair twice.
Wash hair once or twice a week use amla, shikaki, and aritha powders make paste to condition hair

**Things to do every day

Massage scalp using oils for 10 minutes
Moisturize hair (Vatika oil or any moisturizer handy)

Every other day use oils for scalp massage

Mon - Amla
Tues- MTG
Wed- Amla
Thurs-MTG
Fri- Amla
Sat- MTG
Sun- break

I will write down specific dates in the calendar to perform monthly tasks. I will give myself a 2-3 day grace period to perform these tasks so I don't feel like a failure or if something comes up on a specific day and I can't do it on that day.
