Some people think it is vain to take so many pics of yourself....but I am having so much fun with this and I love my hair SOOOO much, I take pictures to my heart's content because I love ME: the good, the bad, the ugly and the indifferent.

I have had to learn the hard way that I cannot depend on other's validation of me. Folks are so fickle, you know? What they think of and how they treat others is so often a projection of how they feel about themselves...I truly accept people the way that they are, and it is not always reciprocated and it began to affect how I feel about ME: because they rejected me I began to feel that I was somehow less than, and that is not now nor has it ever been true...so I am much more careful about who I let in my world and who I open my heart to. Not everyone is worthy.

I give so much of myself, completely and totally and unconditionally that I end up being drained when it is not returned, or it is not appreciated because of some mess that others are dragging around.

Am I an angel? Hell NO! I am not perfect nor do I aspire to be. I make mistakes, I can be mean, I get angry, I am impatient...NONE of us are perfect. All we can do is strive to be BETTER.

My worth and value can only be seen and appreciated by those who are secure with ****themselves****. If you don't like yourself in the first place, you will never believe that others can acept and like you and will constantly be looking for reasons why they couldn't possibly want to be around you.

We pass by angels in our lives every single day because we see only with our eyes and not our heart...it takes VISION and not just sight to see the specialness in us all.

And I said all of that to say this: Yes I am happy! I had to rediscover that my happiness has to come from within...You have to be happy and satisfied and truly embrace the concept that God did NOT make any mistakes. It is because of Him that I am. For real.

My mission is to never again let anyone steal my joy. Even through the hardships and the struggles, I am so very blessed in so many ways.
