- Retied from US Army in 2006. I was in during Vietnam from 1969-1972. Got out for 15 years and went back in 1987. Got out of the active side in 1999 and went into the Reserves. Mobilized in 2001 I ended up staying until 2006. That means my span in the Army from 1969 to 2006 .. a total of 37 years. During that time ..

In between .. went to school for Auto Mechanics, Machinist (worked as Machinist for 5 years), ran a Model Railroad Hobby Shop, worked at Hardware Store, Apartment Renovation for 5 years ..
