Well a little about me.
I have worn some type of chemical process in my hair since i was about 9 or 10. This was after my mother felt I was too old to wear braids and beads. My first chemical service was done in the kitchen of my home by one of my mother's friends, she gave me a curl aka "kitchen curl". After wearing a curl for a few years and being mocked and teased by the kids in school with saying like: follow the drip and being called slick 50 and etc. My mother allowed me to transition for my whole 6th grade year so that I could enter junior high school with the relaxer I had so longed for.
I wore that relaxer for about 13 yrs. faithfully getting my hair relaxed every 6 to 8 wks. Before going truely natural I played with extending my relaxer and wearing my hair in a relaxed wash and go which allowed me to have a wavey curly texture. This made me curious as to what the texture of my natural hair was. As a way to give my relaxed hair a break I started wearing braids and twist.
After seeing a Tyler perry movie with Lisa Arrindell Anderson with her beautiful natural hair I decided that I no longer wanted a relaxer and was going to face the world as a natural woman. Since I was already wearing braids I just continued to do so and ended up transitioning for about 8 mths back in 2006 and bc'd on August 12 of that year. I have been happily nappy ever since.
A year after my bc i had the bright idea to have my hair dyed. I went to the salon and got my hair dyed this beatuiful copper color which made me look like a natural red head. I loved that color until my hair started breaking and shedding and just plain loosing the length that I had worked for over the past year and 8mths. After i realized that my hair doesn't agree with salon color I darkened my hair with a rinse and kept it deep conditioned. I then decided to get a sew- in so my hair could rest. That turned out to be a bad idea because the girl who did the sew- in burned the front part of my hair that was left out with the flat iron. So when I took my sew-in out I had a nice fro all around this silky straight piece right in the front of my head (infuriating).
Then to make my story worst, i was down in Georgia when I took my sew- in out and went to the dominicans to get my hair pressed (to match the straight piece in the front of my head) and they blew my hair straight as a relaxer. It was beautiful until I washed my hair a week later and realized that they had burned patches of hair from my head with a blow dryer and my texture was all messed up ( who new you could do that much damage with a blow dryer???)

All this hair drama has lead me to my 2nd big cut (BC) which was Oct 10, 2008

Ok y'all when I Bc'ed, I told myself that by the time I was 30 I wanted BSL hair. But I'm having a problem, I love the TWA and can't decide when to start growing my hair back... Woooe is me!

About how long does it take to grow BSL hair??

Dang, my year mark since my 2nd BC has came and went.(Oct 10,2009). I didn't do anything special either...
Ok I have to promise myself to do something special for Dec 09,( can't remeber the exact date). This is the month of my last hair cut...
