All interesting (and also not so interesting :-) pics were posted in Public.
Basically I do not believe in trading passwords and/or sharing private albums.
Unfortunately Fotki-management forces me to behave otherwise.
My choice is to freely share what I want with who I want.
This still leaves you free to add me as your friend
and share any real private albums you want.
PS: As for now my wife doesn't want to be photographed in the nude, so the vacation pics and the candid/voyeur webcamshots (she does not know it is running every now and then) will have to do...
20080607: Since some people seem to take offense (even with the 'Viewers Discretion is Advised' option enabled on the albums) on some of my pics, I put all Public Albums behind a password.
The password is 'DiscretionAdvised' and I assume that any reasonable thinking person should know that after opening up the album (with this password) any complaints to Fotki-management about 'objectionable' content are rather insane and dubious. If you have a problem with a picture, feel free to complain to me... there are several contact options mentioned.
20080613: It seems my assumption was wrong and Fotki-management seems to be happy to listen to complaint from people who:
1) have to click through the 'Viewers Discretion is Adviced' warning
2) have to type the 'DiscretionAdvised' password
3) still have energy left to make an actual complaint
Not really sure yet what is won (by Fotki-management) by forcing me to move everything into Private, because I can still add everybody to my Friendslist and again we're back to the situation above: "My choice is to freely share what I want with who I want."
20080813: After updating for a few weeks my friends with anyone and everyone who I saw in the visitorslist, I noticed that:
1) the fotki email alert system is not perfect :-)
2) some people seemed to 'unfriend' me again.
To avoid any embarrassment on either side, the following policy is active as of now:
You will have to leave a comment and/or Public/Private guestbook entry, indicating that you want to added as a friend before I will do so.
Having at least some Public pictures will help in having this processed quickly :-)
20090214: Now this is a nice Valentine's gift... I just noticed that Fotki removed the option to protect ones 'offensive' albums by a password (at least for the 'free accounts').
20090816: Since lots of friends do no update their albums (and thus are in fact only leeches), anyone of those with a most recent updated album of more then two years ago, will get removed from my friend list. Thx for understanding. Sharing is a two way street. And nobody want to keep looking at the same pics all the time... - General Information
