1st big chop: Mid June 2006
2nd chop (due to coloring): End of September 2006
After over two years natural, got a Ferm curly perm: October 29th 2008
Didn't like curly perm and I'm not a transitioner, so...Big Chop Again: November 15, 2008...

I messed up my hair with heat damage by over straigtening. Huge sections of it did not curl up and stayed very straight. I waited months with no change. I tried cutting the straight pieces and getting it cut. A stylist cut my hair and jacked it all up so I chopped again in May 2011. I wore it super short for a full year. I got my final hair cut Apr. 17th 2012, and then decided that I wanted to grow my hair back again. I missed it too much. So here we (my hair and I) go again. :o)

I'm finally starting to forgive myself for letting that chemical curly perm AND HEAT destroy my beautiful natural hair, but I hope to never forget those experiences. I want to do better at resisting those chemical and HEAT straightening temptations this time.
