im 17 going on 20!......lol!
After months of consideration, i have decided to go natural.
so here, i embark on a journey to my napptural enrichment!
Many people ask me why i went natural. i just tell them that "my hair was tired of the relaxer", or i wanted to "try something new". Indeed my hair was breaking, and unhealthy, that's the reason why i had to get my neck length hair cute in suuuper short layers.
I think that the "real" reason why i went natural, was to find myself. To help me identify more with the woman that i am becoming to be. Going natural isn't just a fashion statement, but a cultural statement as well. i now see that black hair is extremely diverse, and there is so much we can do.
Being an african american haitian i am proud of both branches of my heritage, whether i feel one day im haitian, or the next im African American, im learning to celebrate my life. Including everything, even down to the hair on my head.

No regimen, i usually style, wash, deep condition, and trim based on what my hair is telling me.

GOALS

My ultimate goal is bra length hair when stretched, and top of shoulder length hair when unstretched.

MAIN FOCUS

My first of year of being a natural was a learning time, and also a time of experimentation. Reflecting back, i realize what worked for my hair and what was damaging, and unecessary. So my main focus for this year of 2009 is to wear my hair out and free in the warm weather months (May-Sept) and in the colder weather months (Oct-April) use protective styling. My main objective for this concept is to gain AND retain length and to lock in moisture.
