I've experienced several ups and downs in my hair care journey, and wish to impart some knowledge to those seeking healthy hair. My hair care regimen is very basic, because I have learned that less is definitely more in terms of keeping my locs in tip top shape. Below is my regimen in detail. Enjoy!
MY FAV PRODUCTS:
-Pantene Pro V Relaxed and Natural Shampoo & Conditioner
-Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion (ORS)
-Worlds of Curls Curl Activator Gel
REGIMEN:
-Wash hair once a week
-Conditioner wash & water rinse during the week as needed
-Trim ends every 4-8 weeks
For curly hair:
1. Apply ORS to towel-dried hair
2. Apply Worlds of Curl activator gel to scrunch curls into shape
3. Apply non-alcoholic gel to edges when pulling back into ponytail
For straight hair:
1. Wash & Condition hair
2. Apply a quarter-size amount of ORS to towel dried hair
3. Blow dry with comb attachment
4. Flat iron one-inch sections at a time on high heat
**Deep condition hair 1-4 times a month (either sit under hooded dryer or in steam room for 15 minutes to allow product to penetrate)
***Heat is applied no more than once a week.
