Harsha Jayawardena resides in Mason City, Iowa. Ever since
his early childhood, Harsha has been interested in wildlife and nature. As a
teenager, he began bird watching in his home country, Sri Lanka. Harsha got his
first digital camera in 2005. Ever since then, his passion for photography has
grown greatly. His main interest is bird photography, but he also enjoys
photographing the beauty of nature and landscape.

Aside from photography, Harsha has several other
interests. He is a physician by profession, an avid bird watcher and a lover of
the outdoors, taking several camping and hiking trips with his family. Harsha is
also regular biker. In the summer, he enjoys participating in Iowa’s RAGBRAI
with friends and family, a biking trip that spans the entire state.

Over the past few years, Harsha has won a few local
photography contests and has had his photographs featured in the local library.
Harsha is also the vice president of the local Camera Club.
