In my life time I have had my hair cut close to my scalp 9 times. Of those 9 times about 7 times very close to the scalp. And 2 times 2-3 inches from my scalp.
I
n June 22, 2010, I have cut my mullet, about 6.5 to 8 inches. Because my upper nape area would curl more because of it silky curly texure. I still have 7 to 8 inches of length retention in the same area. So my hair measured 13.5 to 16 inches before shortening my coils. The purpose of the cut is because loose style would stick out far from my neck and look like a very uneven hemline. So cutting it in a bulk cut, gave me a nice shape to wearing a define curl style. After defining my hair with kinky curly knot today, and kinky curly curly custard, I waited for 30 minutes. Then I just cut what was handing pass the hair in the upper nape area with sissors. I did not pull and cut, nor combed. I just cut clumped coils/s-curls that were hanging one at a time. Because that is the way my hair naturally skrinks up, not evenly.

HAVE NOT USED A COMB NOR BRUSH FOR ALMOST 26 MONTHS ON MY LOOSE KINKY COILY NAPPY HAIR.
