As a newly natural beauty, I LOVE Fotki. I am inspired by all you ladies who have decided to take this natural journey. My last relaxer was July 2009. This is actually my second attempt at going natural. The first time was about 8 years ago. I loved my natural texture but struggled to keep it moisturized. The relaxers were actually causing ALOT of breakage but they just seemed easier. Now with so many sites out there, I am more informed and learning lots of great ways to care for my natural hair. Transitioning was been awkward, but I was so NOT ready for the big chop. I finally did it on my birthday, 4/17/10. Going natural definitely speaks to my artistic nature and also has an exciting self-discovery feel that I enjoy. I thank all of you for sharing your journeys with me and look forward to sharing mine with you. xoxo
