Creating images for 40 years, starting with a Brownie box, twin lens Mamiya, then Pentax K 1000, Olympus, then on to Leica, Rollei, 4x5 Sinar, Widelux panorama, CLE Minolta, now Lumix and DSLR Canon. Still shot both film and digital. Worked in the darkroom specializing in full frame, 35mm neg. enlarged to 30x40 prints, under Lynn Davis, Lee Friedlander, Harold Feinstein, George Tice, to name a few for 25 years, then on to Photoshop for 15 years. Started at 22 year old in Europe as a beauty fashion assistant and later a photo rep for some of the best fashion photographer that existed at the time. Bored by the commercial, aspects and shallowness of it all, I dove head first into the real slice of life stuff that helped me study under Lee Friedlander, Lynn Davis, Louise Furer. Had the privileged to work with Contact Press Images under Robert Pledge who really brought it together for me when I went into anything that moved, cycling, running, and "street life" journalism. Challenging, demanding, and very revealing not only for what is in front of the camera, but who and what is behind it, all of which develops a strong sense of character with purpose. It's all about creating images that I can live with for a long time and bring a smile of contentment. Hope you feel the same. Enjoy
