Well for a quick breakdown, my official big cut (BC) was January 2006 in the city of Philly my second BC (accidently occurred) Aug-Sept 06. I had to chop of my hair prior to that when I was in the Air Force because I hated getting perms (I got sores), had a colored bob but hated taking care of my hair to manage it. So my hair pretty much broke off until I had strands left. I permed it again after maybe a couple of months, I had no intention of going natural just starting over then.
Once again in Philly a beautician who claimed to know her stuff permed my hair after I got out some braids and well lets just say I'm natural now LOL.
I always wanted to know what my actual hair texture was like. I got tired of everyone around me saying african american hair was ugly and I only had the option to perm, that unless you had "good hair" you shouldn't..whatever LOL. God doesn't make mistakes remember that.
By the way, I dont knock what anyone does to their hair, perm it, straighten it, jerry curl it, whatever. Its your life just make sure you're doing what you do because you really want to and not to impress others.
Here is a breakdown of what i'm doing now, internally and externally with my hair and body.
My supplements/Vitamins:

Creme of nature detangling and conditioning shampoo
Black soap from Nasabb *for clarifying*
Conditioners:
Mane N Tail deep moisturizing conditioner
My leave-ins' :
Kids organic detangling moisturizing conditioner
Hair Goal: Mid back if pressed.
My current method:
.My hair is currently in plaits, about every 2 months I take down the plaits wash very well and deep condition under a hooded dryer for about 15-30 minutes. I then wash out the conditioner and slather my hair with my leave-in.
