- As of Jan 24th, 2010 I am 62 years old. I have been building models of all sorts since I was 12 and the model cars sold for $1.39 each. I build everything, cars, trucks, figures, monsters, horror, dioramas. I have written articles in Scale Auto Enthusiast, Truck Model World (England), Mobilia, Car Modeler, KitBuilders and a couple others. I am married to a most wonderful lady for 37 years, I have two grown children, two grand kids, two dogs and over 3,000 unbuilt model kits. I have done box art models for Lindberg and Revell/Monogram. I am the president of the oldest continually meeting model car club, the Lake Michigan Model Car Club (been the pres. for 25 years). Two months ago the company I worked for, for 38 years decided to get rid of their union drivers so now I'll be semi retired (more time to build models). Build what you enjoy not what others think you should build, enjoy and have fun. As of November 5, 2010 my wife Kathleen, whom I was married to for 37 years passed away from pancreatic cancer, she was 60 years young. She was the love of my life and I miss her every single day. It is not the same here without her and never will be the same. I don't even feel like building models, that was my second passion.
