My 1st time back in a while, currently im 19 attending USF majoring in Marketing. I'm in the process of transitioning back to my natural hair, i regret the day i ever permed it.. a HUGE mistake but thats life we win some and we lose some. But im on the right path again so im happy...

*Just a little FYI:*
When I was natural before there was no reason behind it aside from wanting healthy hair. I think thats the main reason i strayed so easily. No with education and knowledge of not only the things gaing on in the world today but also the things that have occured throughtout our [African Americans] history, I am more aware. My hair will NOT be a political statement it will be a symbol of who I am and where my ancestors have originated from. Africa... I want my hair to be my denying the damaging products that america had convinced not only myself but many other, that they were "good" for my hair. It will deny the perms, drying shampoos, horrible conditioners, it will simply deny being what it was never meant to be. My hair will accept natural as beautiful, Nothing less and always more.

♥FYI:11.16.08- I started off strong... but now its bringing me down. my hair just idk breakage and i cant take it. My mood changes each time i think about it im hating transitioning with a passion now and patience is something i lack .... idk 8[

♥UPDATE: 11.19-08- So Im starting a No-Comb Challenge today!!!!! I've gotten advice from a friend at work nad im SUPER excited honestly dont know why i didnt think of it my self lol.. ughhhh but since i wear my hair back every day ive decided to simply pin it up with a bobby pin at night and in the morning simply replace the pin with my hair clip no more shredding and breaking and most importantly no more melt downs! .lol.. so wish me luck on this one!!
Also I've started a Hairline Challege which consist of massaging the wild growth in nightly.
