- Hello everyone!!
My name is Jasmine and I created my page to chronicle my journey being a natural diva!! My hair has been natural for over 2 years (since August 2005) and I have currently ended and began a new direction for my hairstory...becoming Sisterlocked! I believe having my hair free form was a great way for me to express myself because I am afrocentric in mind body, and spirit, even when I had my hair chemically processed. I feel more intuned with my body and mind, now than ever before. This was a total lifestyle change, I changed my eating habits and became very discriminant with what I put in and on my body. I cut down on everything that contained preservatives, chemicals, and everything un natural. I am currently working my way to becoming vegan, however it is VERY hard for me to part with chicken! LOL
When I began the transition to embrace my natural hair, I always knew that one day I would culminate my experience by locking my hair. Little did I know that I would be where I am today a year ago!
So I invite you to walk with me now through my journey and please do reach out to me! I love meeting new people and sharing experiences, because learning is growing, and I am a lifelong learner.

**UPDATE** I recently combined my 7 month old SLs into traditional sized locks. I had over 800 SLs but now I am down to a little under 200 locks. I decided to combine them by two strand twisting because they were entirely too small relative to my hair density and BIG head lol. I am soo happy with my decision and I am now going to maintain them with the Latchhook. Mi Cyaaannnt wait to use it! This gives me more freedom to DIMyself and watch it flourish.
**UPDATE**September 2009- In my recent album I talked about how I was contemplating combining some of my locks in the front since they were significantly smaller...well i did it! What I did was interlock one lock into the other by the root, two strand twist those locks together, and then sewed them together. I had to sew them since my locks are over a year and a half and I didn't think my hair was fuse together w/o some reinforcement.
