Hi, I am 1.5 years into the natural hair lifestyle. I have been relaxed since I was 4 freakin years old. My mom said I had really thick, unmanageable hair. I was very "tender headed". Remember that phrase?!
So, I would get relaxers about 2wce a year and in between, I would notice my "Oooh, look at this shiny wavy hair at the roots!" Didn't know it was called New Growth, but I knew that I freakin LOVED IT! I wanted my whole head to have this hair but it never happened.
Anywhooo, years later, later, I get lazy. I no longer feel like "doing my hair" and more and more time passes between relaxers. When I would wash my hair, I noticed that it was all wavy and stuff but would STOP suddenly at the shoulders while the relaxed hair continued down my back (I've always had almost waist length hair). I now know that was the line of demarco or whoever his name is! LOL.
