Hello, and welcome to my Fotki account.

I bought my first digital point-and-shoot camera in 2004. In late 2006, I decided to take the plunge and buy a digital SLR - a second-hand Nikon D70. I'm slowly familiarising myself with the controls, and trying not to feel too intimidated. ;)

I still think of myself as a beginner photographer, but I'm keen to learn more and improve my skills. As far as subjects go, I'm mainly interested in nature photography (landscapes, animals, plants, macro), but I'm also keen to try my hand at urban landscapes, portraiture, and possibly some candid/street/documentary style photography.
