- I decided to create a profile after looking at the photos of all the beautiful women who have "gone natural." You have all been an inspiration to me. I'd resisted the temptation of relaxers for a long time. I didn't get my first perm until I started college 6 years ago. Before the perm I wore my hair in braided extentions constantly.
Now that I've moved back to NY and begun a new chapter in my life I decided stop relaxing my hair. I’m tired of the burning scalp and the expensive maintenance. After viewing so many profiles I'm convinced not only that natural is the best way to be but that I am capable of taking care of my own hair.
