- I began my hair growth "journey" in August 2006. I reached my goal of full APL for 2008, so now I'm looking forward to full BSL/Midback in 2009. I'm not rushing for growth anymore, and I'm enjoying the "search & destroy" method of trimming!
UPDATE:~~~I'm Transitioning!!!!~~~
My last relaxer was in February, and it was damaged from lack of care during the winter...so this year of 2009 was spent strengthening my strands, completely cutting out direct heat.
I'm 7-8 months post, and I get about 1/2 in. of NG a month.
~SIMPLIFIED~
1. I co-wash 2-3 times a week with V05 or Herbal Essence conditioners
2. To shampoo/deep clean, I do a baking soda rinse
3. I deep condition 1x a week w/ ORS Replinishing Conditioner or egg/oil/conditioner combo
4. On towel dried hair, I detangle, moisturise/seal, and braid (this creates softer hair) I drench my ends in castor oil
5. I wear protective styles everyday/Direct heat rarely from now on
