My Hair Regimine

Relaxing:
I self-relax my hair every 12-weeks. I try not to go longer than this because my hair tends to shed a little too much and I get nervous. I use Optimum because this is the only perm that doesn't break my hair. I don't perm my hair too straight anymore. I textlax because my hair tends to be a lot stronger and I have noticed that my hair breaks less this way.

Washing and Conditioning:
I wash my hair once a week with CON Detangling shampoo and CON Conditioner or Pantene Pro-V Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner. I wash once standing in the shower under running water to prevent my hair from tangling too bad. Depending if my hair is shedding really bad, I use ApHogee shampoo for Damaged Hair and it does the trick. I then follow with the ApHogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor and put a plastic cap over my head while I finish showering. After I'm done showing, I sit under a dome hair dryer for 30 mins and I let my hair condition with the ApHogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor (or if I'm not using the ApHogee treatment, I use Motions Deep Penetrating Silk Protein Conditioner, or my home made conditioner with is made of cholestrol conditoner, 1/3 cup peppermint extract, and some oil of your choice. I used carrot oil or olive oil). Then I get back in the shower and I rinse my hair out and detangle my hair under running water. I squeeze out the access water and I throw a towel on my head. When I towel dry, I don't rub, I pat my hair dry.

Leave-in Conditioning:
Once my hair has been washed and deep conditioned, I spray a leave in conditioner EVERY time I wash my hair. I use pantine light spray conditioner, Fantasia High Potency Inter Cellular Leave-In Hair and Scalp Treatment, or whatever leave-in I have around the house at the time. I spray my hair starting from the roots to the tips focusing on the tips the most. I also spay some oil in my hair (vitamin e oil, carrot oil, olive oil or coconut oil) and I finger comb my hair from roots to tips. I let my hair air dry till about 80% dry.

Moisturizing:
I put some olive oil moisturizer in my hair. I rub it through to the tips of my hair and then I spray S-curl no drip activator on my ends (usually the part that' will be hanging out of the ponytail) and I smooth my hair in a pony tail. I use a comb at this point to get my hair smooth in a ponytail. After that, I rub some mango butter on my ends to seal in the moisture and I wrap my hair in a bun to let it finish drying. (UPDATE: I now take my ponytail and put a baggie over it and leave it on over night or if I'm going out, I throw a fake pony over the baggie to conseal it). I then smooth oil over my hair from the front to the back to seal my olive oil moistrizer. I then tie a satin scarf over my hair to flatten my hair and let the rest dry over night.

Heat Styles:
If I'm in a hurry and I wanna go somewhere, after my hair is washed, I put a heat protectant in my damp hair (i'm currently using Let's Jam Smoothing Balm heat protectant but I don't like it very much so once I'm done with this, I won't buy it again) and I blow dry my hair. After that, I seperate my hair and I spray a little oil on the section I'm flat-ironing and I flat iron my hair section by section.

Note:
I ONLY comb my hair on shampoo days. When I add moisturizer to my hair each day, I smooth the moisturizer over my hair. I usually don't take down my ponytail but when I do, I DO NOT comb it, I just smooth the moisturizer on and put my hair back in a ponytail.

When I do comb my hair, I use a wide tooth shower comb to detangle in the shower and I use a small tooth comb to smooth. I do not use a brush at all.

My hair remimen is constantly changing so it's not set in stone. I'm finding products that I like and some that I don't like so I use them until its gone and I don't buy them again. Once I find what I really like, I'll post my updates on my favorite products.
