My naturalness began in November 2006. I decide to go natural because my hair was thinning very badly. Initially I was growing natural hair for 7/8 months (transitioning I guess lol) so I could perm it again thinking it'll be okay. That's when I noticed how thick my hair was underneath all the straight hair and figured the whole perm thing wasn't worth it but I still wasn't about to cut my hair that "short". Then my sister who was natural at the time inspired me to chop off my permed ends and I've been happily nappy ever since.
