Hello All,
Welcome to my hair journey. Never thought I'd do something like this. I always felt like a slave to my hair. It was tempermental, PMSy and just down right hard to manage. Now it's my friend and we love each other. Since finding BHM my hair is so much more manageable and soft. I had 4z hair and it's now calming down. I transitioned in braids. I came across the decision to go natural when I SURPRISINGLY became pregnant. My first and only child was 17 at the time, so surprise is an understatement. ANYWAY, I wanted to limit toxins as much as possible so I quit doing perms. Well when he was born I was breast feeding so, no relaxers! He didn't want to give up the boob until he was 2 so I had 3 years of new growth and just figured why not keep going. So I then started cutting my hair by two inches every time I took my braids down. In no time, all natural. Then what? I was ashamed to wear my nappy hair because I thought it was too unruly. It was just neglected because I was ignorant. I found BHM January 2, 2008. In one week my hair felt better, in two weeks it looked like it was growing or thickening. Three weeks, I'm a goner. Totally in love with my hair and BHM. So....here's my journey to long, strong, healthy natural hair!

*The thing I've learned on this journey is that NOTHING can beat all natural products. And I'm not talking about beauty supply chemicals, I'm talking egg whites, honey, olive oil, aloe vera gel, etc. If I can't eat it, it's not going on my hair or skin.


Oh, the heavy drinker/partier thingy. I'm a partier, but not a heavy drinker. Well...I only drink heavily when I party! LOL!
