REGIMEN:
*September 2012: 1 month Natural, 33 months post-relaxer

* I have been protective styling for the last month.

*Main style: Cornrows (initially without extensions added but now with - they keep the tangles at bay).

* I must confess, cutting off my relaxed/texlaxed ends scared me initially but then by the end of July 2012, I just wanted to be natural already!

* I have learned that shampoos and even SLS-free cleansers stil are not for me - talk about dry hair!

*Co-washing is my baby: if it ain't broke......I use Tresemme Conditioners mainly.

*Moisturize and seal daily with Aloe vera juice and water spritz.

*Clarify hair monthly or evey 2 weeks.

* I did make a video of the BC process and I will upload on my youtube channel. I will also upload my length check prior to the BC.

*Current plans for hair:
- Get hair more moisturized -
- Perfect my own Deep conditioner and hair product line.
- Experiment with shea butter mixes

* December 2011: Still transitioning: 25 months post.*

* Now over 2 years with no big chop!*

* Moisturize and seal daily.

*Co-wash weekly with no-cone conditioner.

*Currently have a two-strand twists and single braids with extensions in.

* Clarify: Rhassoul clay every month. I also use diluted Apple Cider Vinegar when in kinky twists or braids.

* Last texlax Nov 27th 2009

** Dust ends as needed.**

To work on:
* Try out more cute styles on my hair: flat twist/braid combos!
* I want to retain more growth using protective styles.
* To GROW BEYOND WL with thick hair. I've been re-inspired by a new friend on fotki who has reached great lengths in 24 months transitioning (thanks for the inspiration, hon!).
*To mix my own hair creams and lotions: that is the next step!

PRODUCTS

- Leave-ins: Giovanni Direct Leave-In
using water, Infusium 23 + aloe vera juice as spray
Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in - for hold and moisture!
Crown Pride Naturals Organic Hair Milk: love it!
- Moisture spritz - ♥aloe vera juice!♥ I mix this with water, honey and rosewater (4-5 parts water to make it go further)! Works just as well!
- Sealing oils: Organic Argan oil, Jojoba oil (first two for winter styling). Coconut oil, Vatika Enriched Coconut oil, and Hairveda Cocasta Shikakai oils. Also mixing up ayruvedic oil mixes with amla and brahmi or just shikaikai!

*NEW*
- ♥♥♥Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner♥♥♥: so much slip!
- MyHoneyChild's Type 4 Hair Creme: Ok, this is AMAZING for twisted and braided styles. It softens the hair, smooths it and holds lightly with shine!
- VO5 Moisture Milks /Silky experiences conditioners: OMG, I love these!♥♥
- Argan oil: this is light but gives good shine and slip.
- Giovanni Direct leave-in: works best on wet hair. Foams up with only a little and it really softens up my hair for twisting. However, dries kinda hard :(
- Rhassoul Clay: a little needed each time, it makes hair clean but also makes detangling a breeze.
- Shea Oil: lighter than shea butter but goes smoothly on my hair!
- Blended Beauty Happy Nappy Styles: a great creamy butter for styling twists or braids on natural 4a/4b hair. Gives some slip too!

I LOVE:

1) CO-WASHING: conditioner washing means my hair is more moisturized and less frizzy.

2) AIRDRYING: I can still do loads of styles with this. Usually I prefer to airdry overnight then I can go out in the day.

3) The SCARF METHOD: using a satin scarf to lay my roots flat, going to bed and waking up with flat (moisturized) soft new growth.

4) HAIR CARE FORUMS and SITES: Black hair media, Longhaircareforum, Hairlista and KISS are some of my favourites. Ladies helping each other out!

5) Hair growth CHALLENGES: not bad hair days (lol) but setting goals for a time period as a group. MOTIVATING and encouraging each other!

6) BUNS: looking on youtube for inspiration really helps. I can keep it in for the whole week or half the week.

7) ♥NATURAL HAIR!♥ I'm transitioning and I'm loving how big my hair is getting! Yay!

ALSO:
Taking mulitvitamins and minerals (one a day)
Garlic oil pills: keep shedding to a minimum.
MSM,*Spirulina*, Biotin daily
