Previous relaxer: July 2005 - natural for 2.5 years - shoulder length natural

Last relaxer (due to color damage): End of March 2008

Bc'ed down to 2 inches natural: End of June 2008

Goal: to get back to my previous length natural unstretched shoulder length/brastrap length stretched by Dec 2009

July 2005 I decided to go natural and cut out relaxers from my life. By Feb 2007 (19 months later) I had BC'ed to shoulder length unstretched natural from midback length (the longest/healthiest my hairs ever been).

i managed to maintain my hair till Feb 2008 when I had a coloring mishap. I then decided to relax in March and transition once again, but 2 months into the transition i realized why I wanted to go natural in the first place. Relaxed hair wasn't something i even wanted to deal with at all. So end of June 2008 I Bc'ed down to 1-2 inches of hair!

My goal is to get to about 11 inches in 19 months which would be shoulder length natural again by Dec 2009. to pick up where I left off. Wish me luck :)

I'll be sticking with my simple routine which is nothing more than conditioning wash then leave my hair to airdry. Im a believer that less is more for my hair. it seems to thrive and look healthier with the less products that i use.

My long term ultimate goal would be to have waist length or mid back length unstretched natural hair. I have no idea how long it would take to do this or even if ill ever get to this goal. But Im having fun tryin!

eta: As of July 23rd 2008: 2.6 inches of hair at nape
3.5 inches of hair at top

eta: as of Sept 17 2008 hair at nape is 3.6 inches
and hair at top is 4.6 inches

eta: As of Nov 8 2008 hair at nape is 4.75
and hair at top is 5.8 (seems like the top is growing a tad faster than the bottom)

eta: Dec 14 - my hair is long enough now to low ponytail and pigtail without clips.

eta: as of January 28th 2009 - nape hair is 6 inches and hair at top is 7 an 1/8 inches

eta: May 24th 2009 - one yr after the big chop: hair is about 2 inches away from underarm length, I also flatironed this month. next goal bsl for June 2010.

eta: Aug 4th 2009 - made it to underarm length! 1 yr 2 months post big chop
