You will see, after browsing my albums, how far I've come on my journey!! When I look back at my old pics, I honestly want to take them down, because I really didn't know how to work with my hair yet! It was dry, knotty and I was in need of a trim most of the time.

I did my final BC in May of 2007. (I transitioned and did a series of "big chops", cutting a few inches of hair each time.) My hair has grown significantly since then. I'm learning more about what products work and don't work in my hair. Most of the products I used THEN, I wouldn't DARE use now.

My only regret is that I don't take as many pics now as I used to. It's a shame, because I actually change my style more now than I used to. I hope to do that more in the coming year!

Currently, I am about two, maybe three inches from bra strap length.I didn't expect to get here this fast, but I guess that's what keeping heat out of your hair does for you!


Products I use:
I'm not someone who's willing to spend a fortune on hair products. I have other interests/hobbies (clothes, traveling,music, books) that keep me broke... I need my hair to be as low maintenance as possible. That's why I went natural. I use:

Hair Mayonnaise
Trader Joe Nourish Conditioner
Apple Cider Vinegar for clarifying
IC Clear gel
Cantu leave-in
various oils (coconut, olive, etc.)
denman brush

That's it! My curls come out defined, and my hair is soft, and it doesn't cost me much to achieve it.

I've been completely natural since May 2007, and have not looked back. There are times I love my hair, and times I can't stand it. I've ahd long hair all my life, so the "lack of length" is the hardest part to deal with. It's growing nicely, though, and I know my hair is healthier for it!!
